TENTATIVE - Each year the King Kamehameha Celebration honors the founder and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii, Kamehameha I. The celebration begins with cultural protocols and pageantry as beautiful hand-made lei are draped on the outstretched arms of the monarch's iconic statue and the Royal Hawaiian Band performs. The celebration continues the following day with the colorful floral parade and hoolaulea street party. Open to public; no admission charge
